A big girl, baby, day!

I know I have mentioned before, little Aubrey. I like to call her "Baby" but seeing that she is almost 18 months old, it's getting a little silly to call her that. The Friday before Adam got home, I took the day off work to spend some much needed time with Janelle and her little one. We went to the outlets, and spent way to much money, then we just hung out until dinner. I was given the opportunity to babysit Aubrey, which was really just put her to sleep, while Brian and Janelle went out to the movies. But not before I was rewarded for my time with a dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It was a little strange going to a TEXAS roadhouse, here in PA, but it was just about the same!

Our day started out at the outlets where I wanted to go to Coach to find a wallet to match my purse. Well a few hundred dollars later, I came out with a wallet ( that doesn't match), a new bag, and a wristlet since the dog ate my only clutch a while back. Here they are, what do you think? The Coach outlet was having a GREAT sale... At least that's what I'm telling myself!

After shopping, we went back to Janelles where Aubrey and I played " super baby" I held her above my head and ran around the house, she absolutely loved it. Babies are a GREAT workout, I was worn out after that. I even had to fend off their 130lb Newfie from humping me!:) I also found out, that Janelle is going to have a little problem with Aubrey when she gets older. She can't do TOO much damage at 18 months, but just wait...

Saturday, Janelle and I had a adult girls day out where we went to see, He's just not that into you. It was really cute, neither one of us had ever seen the movie before so we had no expectations. It was cute though, and I was also DELIGHTED to find out that Adam never did, or never does anything of those things to me!:) We followed that up with a Chili's lunch, then I headed home to "clean" before Adam go home. That didn't go so well!

I wrote this about a week ago, but just got around to putting pictures up sorry!!!

I did it...:)

I did it, after weeks of "thinking" about doing it. I FINALLY did. I went to the gym at 5:15 AM. That's right, AM. I woke up this morning at 5:11, took the dogs out, got dressed and headed to the gym at 5:15 AM!!!! I couldn't believe how many other crazies were there that early. It was like it was 5:15 PM. I pulled up and the parking lot was full of cars, and the treadmills were all occupied. Who knew? I know I though I would be the only person there!!! Especially since they don't open until 5 AM!! So I hit the treadmill for 45 min, then did another 45 min of weights, and hit the Sauna. I think I only go to the gym because of the sauna! It's great!! So now the question is... When will I crash tonight? Maybe 8 PROBABLY by 9!!!

Say Hello to...

SPRING!!!!

Today is the first official day of Spring! Though apparently ( I don't wake up early enough ) it was snowing this morning here. I saw some snow on the ground on my way to work, but I'm VERY excited that it's Spring. Spring here is a BEAUTIFUL season. There are actually flowers that bloom, and buds on trees. Our tree is starting to bloom, I'll try to get a picture of it, but it needs another week or so I think!!!

I've written a few posts that I haven't posted yet, because I need to put pictures in them, so hopefully this week I'll get around to it!!!

Hanging in there...

So we are on day 7 of Adam being gone. I've done a GREAT job keeping myself busy somehow, though I can't really say I've done much of anything. I guess it comes from getting up at 7, not getting home until about 5:30, letting the dogs outside. By the time I'm in with them and sit down it's already about 6:30. So I get dinner ready, I made a huge pot of spaghetti and some sloppy Joe's over the weekend that I've been eating, and sit down and get ready for my TV!! I have been going upstairs to get ready for bed at about 10, which is a little old lady like, but I read until about 11 or 11:30!!!

I haven't accomplished much on my list that I made last week except for:
Mani
Pedi
DSW didn't want my money last week ( didn't have the shoes I wanted ) so I might try again this week.
I DID take my jeans, but the lady that alters them is out of town for 10 days!!! That's just bad timing!:)

I haven't done a whole lot around the house like I was SUPPOSED to do, but I plan on devoting Saturday to cleaning so Adam THINKS I did something!!!

Tomorrow I'm going to spend the day with Janelle and Aubrey, and we're heading to shop. Hopefully I'll be able to find me a new wallet that I need to go with my purse I got for my birthday!

Adam will be home on Sunday, I can't wait. I was fine for the first few days, but it really starts to wear on me. I'm so used to spending the evening with him watching TV, and hanging out, and now all I got are the dogs. But since he's gone I have to take them out. You don't realize how important your second half is until you, yourself have to take the dogs out!!! I'm just kidding, KINDA, of course, because he does usually take the dogs out at night, but I misses his kisses ( Cheesy) and can't wait to have him home again!

ohhhhh... Mother Nature... She listens to me!

That's right, I must have an in with Mother Nature. Since moving here to Pennsylvania, I hoped and wished for a snowy winter. We didn't really get it the first winter we were here, only having about 6 inches the WHOLE winter. I was sad. THIS winter on the other hand, my prayers were answered. It started out with one day where in snowed all day, and silly me didn't leave early from work, so what is usually a 30 min drive, ended up being a 2 hour drive. That day, I didn't like snow at all. We didn't really get any snow from then until last Sunday night.

If anyone doesn't know, I'm obsessed with weather.com, I am constantly looking at it to see what's coming up. Adam always makes fun of me, so last weekend I hadn't looked at it. But Sunday morning when we woke up we had a little coating of snow, but didn't think much of it. For some reason I decided I wanted to know what was going on for the week, so Sunday night I decided to look. Much to my amazement we were in a Winter store WARNING. I was soooo EXCITED!!! They were predicting 12 inches of snow by Noon on Monday. Needless to say I wasn't going to work. Sadly, even though Philadelphia declared a state of snow emergency, Penn didn't close and Adam had to get up and go to school. Here are some pictures of the dogs playing... THEY LOVE THE SNOW!!!I'll let you know that these pictures were taken in the morning when I got up, there was more snow that fell throughout the day. It was CRAZY.

Her ears don't really stand out like that!:)

I think he is scared that he was up to his belly in snow.

When we came inside we tracked in so much snow it was silly, I guess this is one good reason to have a sunroom.

Luckily I have a tidy little dog, who likes to clean up after herself.

And I have another who gives in to peer pressure.

So once it stopped snowing, I had to go to work on Tuesday, and I quickly went back to HATING the snow, and ready for it to be spring. I had to shovel 9 inches of snow off of my side of the drive way. I was nice and didn't make my husband get up at 8 AM to do it for me. ( He's lucky) It's sooo hard, but needless to say, today it was 75 degrees and beautiful. The flip flops were out! YES!

Home Alone!!!!

But it's not because he forgot me ( as in the movie, Home Alone:)) . Adam left for Bangladesh last night, so I have been left to fend for myself for the next 10 days. But I'm prepared, I have created a " To- Do " list if you will, of things I want to accomplish while he is gone. Which include, but are not limited to: Mani, Pedi, shopping for cute new sandals, and taking those organic cotton jeans ( remember that post) to finally get hemmed!!! Tonight I went and ran some errons to prepare me for this weekend. 3 bottles of wine (we already had the Malbec), and a library book, and the newest issue of Food and Wine came in the mail today, I think I'm ready.

I am starting a new book seires that has all the names of dessert. The first one is called Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder, I'll let you know how they are!!
I read online about some wines that I wanted to try. 7 deadly Zin's I really wanted to try, but I really can't pay twenty bucks for a bottle to drink alone, so I went with... Zen of Zin, Gnarly Head Red Zin, and Folie A Deux- Menage a Trois. Tonight I am drinking Zen of Zin, and if I do say so myself, it is quite tasty. I wish that I could give you a better description than that, but I can't. I know what I like and don't like when it comes to wine, but can't tell you the flavors or anything.I guess I need to go to some wine tastings!;) I suggest you try it. If you have any other suggestions of wines I should try let me know. I got a wine journal for Christmas that I'm trying to fill!

I'm off to finish my bottle of wine, and watch Ghost Whisperer. Does it get any better than that? I think not!!! Tomorrow I will post my pictures of our snow storm from the beginning of the week. 9 Inches I think was the total.

CONGRATS to Becca and blogger friend Natalie P. for getting the news that they are both having little baby boys:) So EXCITING!!!

Check it out...

I started a food blog. Fenner's Food We love to cook, so I thought that maybe some people would enjoy having some REALLY easy recipes to try!

Busy weekend!

This weekend flew by faster than any I can remember in the past. Maybe it was because we actually were productive and didn't just watch TV. I like my old weekends. Though our "Kids" were not any help during out very busy day! ( click above picture to get a good view of our helpers!)
This weekend started off with another BYO fantastic meal. We have made it a goal to go to one new restaurant in the city every week until graduation. We of course won't hit all of them we want, but oh well... we would probably be close to broke if we did anyway!!

Saturday morning started off bright and early with the tile guy coming to fix the bathroom!
And it's a good thing, because it was getting to be really gross, and every time we would turn the handle more little bits would fall into the tub! Yucky!! Here is the finished product!

After they left, I was feeling like we needed to do some stuff around the house, seeing that it was supposed to be listed this week, so we got to painting. The realtor suggested we paint our bedroom wall a neutral color instead of the fabulous tealish/ blue we had painted it. And although she loved the orange ( I never really liked it, but never wanted to repaint it) bathroom, we decided we should paint it too. So we got to it. The following are before and after pics.
This isn't a very good pic, but you can at least see the color!

I thought that I had a picture of the wall finished, but I guess I was distracted by my Hubs, hotness!;)

Priming the bathroom, please excuse me, I had been up a long time!:)

And last but not least one of the two of us, hard at work!:)
