Husband, Family and pets, does it get any better?

Do you think he was sharing or stealing?

I know that I said I probably wouldn't post until I got back from skiing, but we had such a FANTASTIC Christmas I felt the need to post. I guess you could say that Christmas in the Fenner home started last night, well evening really. We had a fantastic meal, complete with turkey, stuffing, rolls and all the sides you could think of. Following that, we headed off to church. ON our way out we hear the Catholic church playing Christmas carols from their loud speaker, it really just set the mood! After church we came home to pumpkin cheesecake and presents.:) Who wouldn't like that, come on now!

What was left of the cheesecake on the plate!
Between, both sides of parents and Adam's sister, we made out like bandits, we got EVERYTHING on our list. We couldn't be thankful enough. We really do have so many people in our lives that love us. But I would have to say that MY most exciting gift, is my new CAMERA. I got a Canon Rebel XS. It is pure bliss. I had a Canon Rebel 35 MM back in high school, where I took three years of Photography, so I'm REALLY looking forward to playing with my camera and learning it again. The poor dogs have had their picture taken so many times since last night, they probably want to eat the thing. We got so much more, we got a stick blender, that has all these cool attachments, Gift cards galore, I got a heart rate monitor, to make my workouts more productive, A subscription to Food& Wine, because Adam and I DEFIANTLY need more recipes and wines to try;)

Well we left some of the gifts to open this morning, following the family tradition of Creamed turkey and eggs which was delightful of course. To days big gift was for Adam ( and me of course) and it is an HD canon video camera. We had been wanting one since last year, and this was the year. It's pretty cool, because it's HD so when we play it on our TV, it will be just as clear. With that came a Tripod, and a disk maker thing. I'm not sure what it does, but Adam does. It makes it where we can Easily make CDS of the videos, and I can even make slide shows of my pictures and put them on the disk. Haha, Adam's comment was " Oh yea, we get to become those people that make people watch their slide shows." We're getting so old. I guess being together for almost 8 years will do that to you. We had MANY years of pictures we can put into slide shows, it's going to be cool. So I'm going to go and eat my turkey pot pie now, but I'll leave you with some of my pictures. Keep in mind, I was just playing with all of the settings on the camera!:) Have a good rest of Christmas:) And have a HAPPY NEW YEAR

They love each other!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

To everyone!

Adam's parents made the long trip from Dallas yesterday where we picked them up from the airport! Last night we went to the tapas restaurant that Adam and I had gone to called Distrito! We all got the tasting menu, which was amazing. The waiter really sold us because he said they were going to be closed for the next few days so the chef was going to be giving a lot of food in the tasting, so we did it! Man, he was not kidding, for 4 people, we got 14, that's right 14 different tapas plates. Yes, they are small but 14 kinda adds up on you. That along with a pitcher of Margaritas, it was a fantastic night!

Today, is cooking day. We decided that we would cook Christmas dinner today, since we'll be leaving on the 26Th to head up to Vermont for our skiing trip! So we didn't want the left overs to go bad since we'll be gone a week! So tomorrow for Christmas morning we'll be doing the Fenner family tradition of creamed turkey and eggs ( I know it sounds gross, and the first time I ate it I was a little unsure, but it's pretty tasty!) Then we'll be making Turkey Pot Pies! That should probably do the turkey in, and any sides we have left over!

Tonight we're going to the 10PM service at church. I hope that it stops raining, and warms up about 25 Degrees, but I don't think that will happen! Oh well!

So since I'll be in Vermont, I probably won't update until we get back around the 2and, so I hope that everyone has a GREAT Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!!
I leave you with a picture of the dogs, sunbathing, in the sun room the other day!

He turned 24!

As promised, though late, here is the post about Adam's birthday which was December 9. Unfortunately for him, it always falls right in the middle of exam week, so nothing too exciting happens. But this year, a few good friends were able to tear themselves away from the excitement that is finals to join us for a birthday dinner! On a recommendation, we went to Marrakesh. It's a Moroccan food place. It was a lot of fun, and good food. When we first got there, we were the only ones, so it was nice and quaint. The deal was it was a set price per person and they just brought stuff out. I think it was 7 courses or something ridiculous like that! And there was no utensils. They didn't even give you a napkin, just a bath towel!!! You really have to like the ones that your with, because everyone is just sticking their hands in. The food was different, but excellent. Of course, the company was what made it a special day for Adam! Thanks to David, Johnny, Jake and Leslie for taking time out to go with us! Here are some pictures!

Smiles for everyone!

The guy that looked like he should have a monkey on his shoulder was pouring our green tea!

After dinner we went back up to school, because I had made birthday cupcakes for Adam, and Leslie ( Her birthday was the 11th) So we went up and passed them around his studio, and sang to them both! I think everyone enjoyed them! Because they were ALL gone, I didn't even get one!

Everyone looked happy with the cupcakes!

Out of Touch

I love it when I am so out of touch with what is going on outside, that I don't even know it's snowing! But I love it even more when I do find out, by letting the dogs out, that not only is is snowing, it's been snowing for a while. To my suprise I just let the dogs and there was a nice coating outside! Just thought that I would share.:) Adam's review is TOMORROW YEY!

past due!

As I sit here sharing a bowl of popcorn with my beloved 4 legged babies, I realized that I hadn't posted in a while. A lot has gone on, such as a 24th birthday for my "old" husband, and a few trips to school for social gatherings. Adam has been really busy at school, seeing that his finaly review is on Wednesday! He has had the good computer for blogging, as well as the little device to remove pictures from my camera. So this is a short update, but I'll update with pictures from his birthday maybe on Thursday or Friday! Until then, have a good week!! It's ALMOST Christmas time!

Better late than never!

So I ( Adam) finally took the pictures off my camera. So here are a few from the first snow, and Thanksgiving. In no particular order!

This is at like 6 AM, and it's just starting to fall!

When I got home from work, this is the bench in our yard!!! Not a whole lot but it was still there!:)

And some Thanksgiving ones!

Adam preparing the Sweet Potatoes!!

Our table. I can't wait to have a dining room table!! Though I did enjoy using our China for the third time!!

And our turkey! It was SOOO BROWN, Adam did a GREAT job! Yummy!

I will not bore you with all the other food pictures that I have of our home made Thanksgiving, but it was probably the best one yet, every year we get a little better with making food.

The boys were going at it. We did a buffet style in the sun room on the table out there. We didn't have enough room for everything in the kitchen!

I'll leave you with this picture. You see how much my husband loves our dog, and how much our dog love him? It's sick really! But I love them both!:)

Oh my...

I have to brag on my husband for a second! Yesterday I had to take my car to have the brakes fixed and we couldn't go an pick it up until like 10 PM. So we went to pick it up, and well it took me a while to get going. So Adam waited for me to get going before he left the parking lot. But then stupid me was trying to take the parking brake off ( I NEVER put it on) and I popped the hood. So I had to get out and close it and there was frost on my windows. Needless to say, when I turned on my lights Adam left. But he soon realized that I wasn't behind him. So he pulled over a few streets down, then waited for me to pass him. I didn't know this, but was suprised when he pulled into the garage behind me. I get out and ask..." How on Earth did I beat you home?" He said..." I pulled over to wait for you, I didn't want you to get car jacked!!!" haha isn't that SWEET?!?!?! lol... I thought it was funny! Anyway, I thought that I would let you all know how sweet he is!!

oh yeah, and he bought me tickets to see Legally Blonde the Musical on Friday night!!! I've been wanting to see it since it came out!!! YEY!!! He's the best! Love you honey:)

Merry Christmas to us!

Adam and I decided that we would buy a mutual Christmas gift, then have a set amount to other gifts. So after thinking long and hard about it, we decided we wanted a home theater system! We watch TV, it's what we do. We have two DVR's for our tv down stairs and one for our upstairs, becuase we wanted to watch more than we were able to record!!! We have a netflix subscription which we also watch regularly. So we bought ourselves a home theater system today! It's a Samsung system that has a Blu-ray player. We are sooo excited, netflix has blu-ray disks for $1 extra a month. Can it get any better than that?
Alright, so I have to admit, that our buying this was a little selfish, becuase it's really thrown the dogs and cat for a loop. When we were testing the speakers, Bailey just about freaked out. Which should have been expected since she is so afraid of thunder, it's kinda the same thing. Siren also didn't like the noise, but she is more disturbed becuase there is a speak on top of what used to be her spot, the cable box! So even though we feel sorry for our "Kids", they will get used to it. We love it to much to take back!:)

Thanksgiving was a blast. Almost everything we made was homemade, from homemade dinner rolls, to cheesecake. Everyone had a great time and the food was great. I'll post pictures whenever I get a chance!! Hope everyone had a great break from school, and had some quality time with family!!!

It's so close!

Thanksgiving, it's right around the corner, which is a good thing. I'm tired of going to the store!:) I feel like that's the only place that I've been in the last week! Though Friday night, Adam and I had a date night. We went to this resturant called Distrito, it's a tapas place right by campus. The chef was actually on Iron Chef America against Bobby Flay, and he WON! Though I have not seen this challenge which kinda suprises me, we didn't even know he was on the show until after we got our reservations. But the food was amazing. After that we headed over to see new new Bond movie. Only knowing that we HAD to see Twilight this coming weekend. But it was a lot of fun:) Sunday night we went over to a friends for a Thanksgiving Dinner. A guy in Adam's class and his wife hosted it, and it was GREAT. I was excited becuase I wanted a Turkey dinner, but I knew I had to wait until Thursday, lucky for me we had one early.

I think I finally have EVERYTHING we need for Turkey Day! Laura will be here tomorrow night, and Eli, a friend from school ( Actually went to A&M also) will be coming to join us in a day of eating and football. Hopefully, I can stay awake for football, that might be asking to much though!!

Oh yes, and my Christmas cards arrived yesterday, now I have to look into who is going to be lucky enough to get one;) Just kidding, I already knew who does!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!:)

Aren't you Jealous??

IT SNOWED TODAY! Alright, maybe it really only spit flurries out for like 10 min, but it snowed! It was so cold today, like a high of 38, with some serious wind!!! Winter is coming, and my poor husband is going to play in a football game outside tonight. I think he is CRAZY!!!

Not much going on here, just gearing up for Thanksgiving. I can't wait, all the food and football, and one family memeber if you don't count Adam. It's going to be great. I have been working all this week, so I have read a book, and have two more that I checked out from the library, which I'll probably get to at least one of them! Ive read 11 books since the middle of September, now that's impressive!!! Alright, this is a boring post so I'll think of something better to write about later!:)

Oh yes, I FINALLY ordered my Christmas cards!!! I hope they turn out well!:)

OH, What a weekend!

This weekend was possibly one of the best we've had in a long time! Adam worked long nights almost every night last week, but he got Friday and Saturday off. It was awesome. We got a chance to watch the movies we had, and cook and just spend some good quality time together! Sadly that time is over, and today Adam is back at school. Though he'll be back to watch the Cowboys game, which is finally on TV!!! Stupid Eagles.

Well since we were both home, of course we had to bake something. I had been looking at Bakerella.blogspot.com. In the December section she made these great, red velvet cake balls. Well lets, just say they are AMAZING!!! What you do it just get a box mix of Red Velvet cake, bake it according to the box. Let it cool, then crumble it into a bowl and combine with a container ( Though Adam and I think you could maybe use just half of the container) Cream cheese Icing. Then roll into balls, let them sit in the freezing for a little while, then coat them with melted chocolate bark. I Used Bakers dipping chocolate because we don't have Chocolate Bark here.
http://bakerella.blogspot.com/2007/12/red-velvet-cake-balls.html
That is her link, and OF course mine looked at beautiful as hers!!

I'm working all this week, so I went to the Library and checked out THREE books!! I will have to go mid week to get a few more, if I continue to read one a day!!! A week and a Half until THANKSGIVING!

I need a cookie jar...

Last year at work, we did a gift exchange and my gift was a snowman cookie jar, filled with homemade sugar cookies:) ( it was passed around as many times as the game allowed, though I think it was just for the cookies) Anyway, as I was making snicker doodles last night, to offset my calorie expenditure from my boot camp class, I was thinking how I to needed a Christmas cookie jar! Something like this but BETTER!

I also realized last night, that Thanksgiving is TWO weeks from today, and I haven't really even begun to think about what all I'm going to be cooking! Laura is coming in from NYC to spend the weekend with us, so between the three of us, we'll have WAY to much food for just three people! Oh well, more leftovers for the football games!

Not a whole lot going on with us, Adam is getting closer and closer to finals, which means I'm seeing less and less of him. I guess that comes hand and hand with going to am Ivy League school, to get your Masters Degree! I can't wait until he is done!

I failed...

I was trying to post everyday this month in honor of National Blog month, but I failed.. oh well! I was doing better things, like going to bonfires! That's right, two bonfires in two weeks, when I hadn't ever been to one before, it's pretty amazing!
A guy from Adam's school has a house about an hour outside of the city, that sits on 2 acres of land, which is perfect for a get together. So we decided we would make the trip out there, because it was supposed to be a great day. Once we found out that Louie and Bailey were also invited, we were for SURE going. We even stayed the night.
That's right folks, we have gone out to parties for the last two weekends. You see we are your typical " old married couple" and we have been since we started dated. Which is kind of sad, because that was when we were 15, and still in High School. We have always just prefer ed each other's company in a low key setting with our " kids"! But we managed to get out since they were also invited. Let me tell you, even with Bailey on a dose of Zanex, they were still the life of the party!
They got all kinds of treats, from hot dogs, to smores, they were living the good doggie life!!

All the boys at some point in the night, went and played tackle, Marco, Polo. How no one, got terribly injured is beyond me, because it was like 2 AM in the morning, and lets just say, the keg was DRY!!! But we had a GREAT time, and it was nice to get out and both of us be about to relax and have a great time!
!
And not only did we have a great time, EVERYONE did!!! haha good picture of the boys

When did it become okay??

When did it become okay, to put up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving, or Halloween, in the case of areas around here?

For as long as I can remember, you weren't supposed to get out those decorations until the day after Thanksgiving, let alone getting them out BEFORE Halloween! Janelle and I were strolling through, what might be the biggest mall in the country, King of Prussia, and I noticed that the HUGE Christmas tree in the center of the place was already up and decorated! Alright, alright, it was Halloween that day, but you get the picture. Then, Janelle told me that SANTA CLAUSE was going to be at the mall for pictures starting NOVEMBER 15. How crazy is that?

On my way home from the gym tonight, I drove by a house that always decorated to the nines, and they had taken their glow in the dark pumpkins down, and strung Christmas lights in the tree, and changed their porch lights to be green and red. CRAZY!!! Especially since it gets SO dark here so fast these days. I am talking 5 PM it looks like it's 10. It's crazy!! Anyway, just wanted to know, when do you put out your Christmas goodies? Me? Probably not until December 1 or something. We live in an area of the country that produces, the most BEAUTIFUL real trees, so last year Adam and I went to pick out our first real Christmas tree. Though, along with a real tree come, having to water it to keep it alive, and vacuuming, daily, if not hourly, to keep all the pine needles off the floor and out of the dogs and cat's mouth!!!

On another note: I read that it's national blog month, so I'm going to try to post everyday!:) Lets see if my life is that interesting!!!

Election Day 2008

This is a day that will not matter the outcome, go into history books! For the first time I'm going to vote in the Presidential election. In 2004 I was away at school, and not registered in that city! But you bet that I'm going to be there this afternoon with the crowd after work!
Being that I live in a " Battleground" State, I'm sure glad that today is over soon! Our phone was ringing off the hook yesterday with people calling us to make sure we were going to be voting. We had BOTH a Obama, and a McCain volunteer call us to tell us where we were supposed to vote! We also received about 5, no maybe 10 Obama flyer's in the last 2 days. It's CRAZY! But I'll be there, being a good American, will you? I hope so!

Is it really November?

I can't believe it! This weekend we went to two different Halloween parties! On Friday, I spent the day with Janelle and Aubrey, we ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory for Janelle's birthday and then I ran home, changed for party #1. I met Adam up at school for " happy hour" which is something the School of Design does every Friday. Free beer and occasionally free food. So we had a few beers then went to David and Leslie ( K-Fed and Brit Brit) to eat some pizza. Then we headed off to the party, where we were like the first ones there. I'll throw in that it was like 10 already or something! So we headed off to a bar to get a drink before going back to the party! It was a fun party, I was a little bummed, because my camera battery died, so I didn't get any pictures, so I'll have to steal them from Leslie when they get put online!

Party #2 was on Saturday. We headed out of the house about 10PM. I'm telling you, I don't know when we got so old, but that is just far to late for leaving the house for the first time! This party was also fun, drinking, and snacking on different snacks! It wasn't near as crowded as Friday's probably because it wasn't actually Halloween! On a side note, because I found out that I needed to dress up for both of these parties, the day before, I didn't really have much of a costume, I had some bunny ears and bow tie for the first party ( Original I know) but then I didn't wear anything for the second party. Adam on the other hand was Michael Phelps. It was a pretty good costume actually!
Needless to say, since we both are not used to go into the city to go to parties, it was a nice weekend, that involved lots of sleeping in, because we wouldn't get back to the house until 2 AM. So once I get some more pictures from other people I'll post more, but here are a few that I had!

World Champs!

That's right, Adam and I live in a city that has a championship team! Last night the Philadelphia Phillies took home the win, to win the 2008 World Series! It was crazy here last night. Fireworks, and screaming, people I swear were even walking/ running down our street banging pans together. That's right, Pans, as in the ones you cook with!

Alright, now I must confess, though we live in Philly, we don't watch baseball. Therefore, when we found out that the Phillies had actually made it to the play offs we were astonished! The last we had heard was at the beginning of the VERY long baseball season, that the Phillies were losing every game they played so we paid, no attention. And, well, baseball might be the second most boring sport to watch. With golf being first of course! We are proud to say though they did it, they won, and this city is going crazy. They are shutting down most of downtown tomorrow for a parade. They are crazy about their sports!

But hey, who knows, the Cowboys could still pull it together! That would put this city in a state of shock!

Cheddar Beer Bread

I made this last night, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quick and easy loaf of bread to go along side with dinner. I made chili to go with mine and it was a HUGE hit in our house!! Here is the recipe

Cheddar Beer Bread
3 Cups Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Grated
1/2 Cup Onion, Chopped
3 Garlic Cloves
12 Oz Beer ( I used Bud Light)

Pre heat oven to 350 Degrees

Combine all ingredients ( except beer) until well combined

Add Beer a quarter at a time, until all ingredients are Incorporated

Spoon into a greased 4x8 loaf pan and smooth down with a fork

Bake for 1 hour

Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Expecting snow?

Yes, you read that right! There is snow in our forecast! Tonight, and possibly tomorrow night. Now what's the chance that it will actaully snow? Not very high, but it's still nice to hear that it COULD happen. Today was absolutly disgusting. I'm talking, rain, cold, and wind. Wind gusting at like 60 MPH. So what did I do? Since I didn't have to work, I had a lazy day. I did a load of laundry, watched some of my girly shows that were recorded, ie: One Tree Hill, Desperate Housewives, Grey's, and Eli Stone. But the most exciting thing I did was bake. I FIANLLY got to make my pumpkin cookies. You see, the wedding we were at this weekend had them at the rehersal dinner, and they were fantastic. So I made some, though mine are different, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, with a maple frosting. I havn't frosted them yet, but they are good without it!
Once I find my thing to transfer my pictures to the computer I'll post some pictures from this weekend, though I don't have that many. It was a great weekend, the wedding was saturday, but we got there Friday for the reshersal dinner, which was GREAT, even though it was as cold as it's been all year outside. After that we went to another cabin to do some drinking! Needless to say, I ended up in the hot tub with my jeans on ( Thank you Erica!) It was a great time had by all though, the drinking continued after the wedding reception at a huge bonfire they had, once that was over, there was more drinking to be had ( I didn't drink that night) then we went back to our cabin becuase we had to be up early!!! That's the short story of the weekend! I'll hopefully put up some pictures tomorrow!!

It's freezing! * Burrr*

Yesterday it was so cold.
Like 55 with winds about 30 MPH. It's official that fall/ winter are coming! YEY! Last night I went downtown to meet up with Adam, because he was supposed( yes supposed ) to have a flag football game at 8:30. So after work, I made my way home, to let the dogs out and grab so warm clothes. Scarf, wool coat, ear cover things, and some gloves, I was SET! So I get down to the school, and we go to get some dinner, Potbelly! We don't have one in the " Burbs" so it was good! Then we headed over to the football game. The team was there about 40 min early to warm up. Well we found out shortly, that the game wasn't last night, it is next week! So of course everyone that had gone out there wanted to play. So there I was sitting all the ground, in a little ball of clothes, I was still freezing, reading my book ( Which I just about finished, though I finished it this morning). After the game we headed back to the car, but since my fingers were frozen I had to make a trip to Starbucks. I'm becoming one of those people. I ordered a " nonfat, decaf, pumpkin spice latte". I think that's just about as complicated as I'll be getting. It sure was good! So when we got home, I quickly ran a nice HOT bath, and soaked for a while while continuing to read my book! What I nice evening!
Some of you might wonder " What book is she reading now?" We'll shortly after finishing the Twilight Sage, which once again I will say, EVERYONE READ IT!!! It was so good. I found a series, that is recommended for adults after Twilight. It's the Sookie Stackhouse Series,by Charlaine Harris. It's along the same lines, human falls in love with Vampire, and this one is a little racy, lots of " Adult content. If you are even a little interested and have HBO, there is actually a series on, on Sunday nights called True Blood, that is based on the first book! It's really good and goes with the book PRETTY well. So check it out!
We are heading to Ohio tomorrow morning, for a wedding weekend!:)So I'll check back after that!

He's Done...

Well, he's been done for a few days now, it's just that we've been spending all of our time together I didn't have a chance to post! Last Thursday concluded the " mid-term" portion of Adam's semester. Which just means, he goes to school at 6, gets home anywhere from 11PM-6AM. Since the day he got back from Japan he had been working none stop, so the only time we got to see each other was when I was leaving for work, or he was getting in from a late night. But I'm happy to say that is over, and we have 6 weeks until Finals start! So, since he had gotten about 10 hours of sleep in the last WEEK, we spend all of Friday at home, we slept in, made food, and watched all of our shows on the DVR that needed to be recorded! It was lovely!
Saturday, we had a birthday party! Aubrey turned on this weekend, so therefore I can no longer call her " baby"! She's such a big girl now! So we went out to the birthday party where they had a Bounce house for the kids, and beer and wine for the adults, and food and cake of course. It was a very chilly day, so the Janelle and Brian had a fire going, and it smelled sooo good. I got to see some old coworkers from when I took over for Janelle so she could be at home with Aubrey! Overall it was an exhausting day. Who would think a birthday party for a one year old could take it out of you? OH, but it did, I think Adam and I both went to bed at 8:30! It was kinda sad!
Sunday, we did about the same as we did on Friday, our goal was to not leave the house, and we were successful! I made pancakes for breakfast, and then we had an early dinner of meatloaf, which was Delicious! Then we continued to watch some of our shows!
Monday, I was trying to convince Adam not to go to his one class that morning and stay home with me, and surprisingly his class got cancelled, so it worked out perfectly! Though Adam didn't actually get out of bed until about 2:30, we made our way over to King of Prussia.( one of the biggest malls in the country) It's actually two malls, that are connected by a walkway! But it has just about every store you could think of, and every department store available up in the Northeast! Anyway, I was on a mission to find a dress for a wedding this week in Ohio, where it's supposed to be in the mid to upper 50's, and of course the wedding is outside!! COLD! Anyway, for winter approaching here, you would think there would be more sweater dressed, but the only place I found any that I halfway liked were Banana Republic, oh how I love that store!! Once again, I found what I was looking for there! So all is good! I'm set for the wedding!

This afternoon, I'm going to get my hair cut, then Adam and I are going to a nice dinner at Mercato( We just can't seem to get enough of each other:) I guess it's good we're married then!). It's a BYOB, so we can bring a good bottle of wine and don't have to pay a fortune for it! That's all for now, though I know it was a lot!

Oh yes, and we finally got our plans for Christmas settled, I'll tell everyone about that after the wedding this weekend! It's going to be beautiful, it's in a national forest, well ALL THE LEAVES ARE FALLING AND CHANGING!!:)

I Finished!!!

In two weeks I read the ENTIRE Twighlight Saga!!!! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an easy, addicting, interesting read!:) The last book, Breaking Dawn ( I have one chapter left) has left a little to be desired, but that's alright, becuase the other three were sooo good. Now I have to find another book becuase I'm working reception on Monday!!! If you have any suggestions PLEASE let me know!

We're Back!

We both made it! For the first time in our almost EIGHT years together, we both left town at the same time, only going to different places! Adam to Japan, and I went to Dallas! I think he might win in the coolness factor but oh well! I returned from my little vacation on Friday night, and he returned on Sunday night! It was so nice to seem him, though sad, because he didn't get a break. He got home and hit the ground running, FAST! Mid-terms are coming up, if there is anything I dislike about school it's mid-terms! He doesn't get home until late, and when he gets home, all he wants to do is sleep!

Once he uploads his pictures from Japan, I'll post some as well as some details as to what he was doing over there! All I really know is that he visited the two most popular cities in Japan, and looked at buildings!:) Oh... almost architects find that fun!

I'll update more later:)

I got excited!

I was thinking about all the leaves changing, and I remembered that we took some pictures of the dogs in the fallen leaves in our back yard! We had just gotten Bailey, so she was still as cute as a butter ( To bad we didn't know what she was going to turn into) So I thought that I would share! You'll have to get past how amazingly beautiful and cute our dogs are to see the leaves. I hope you can manage!
And Because I thought it was cute.. bailey trying to chase a ball... Please excuse what I am wearing, not sure why I had a wool coat on with FLIP FLOPS!!! Guess it's a TX thing!

Welcome Fall

It's official! Today is the first day of fall! I can't wait to watch all the leave change! If there is one good thing about living in the Northeast, it's seasons. We get to see the leaves change colors, and fall, then we get some snow, they we get PERFECT Spring days, and mild summers! I'll miss that part of PA! One of the many perks of fall is the food! Pumkin Spice Lattes have become a drink that I look forward to having in the summer... thank you Starbucks!

I was home last night while Adam was up at school working and I was in the mood to bring fall into the house, so I took my Pumkin Room spray, and my pumkin spice Hershey Kisses and went to town! I made DELISIOUS Pumkin Spice Brownies, and sprayed my house to smell like pumkins, it was AMAZING!

I highly recommend making a trip to the nearest Target and picking you up some of these hersehy kisses. I am waiting to get my hands on the Carmel Apples flavored ones, which I've heard are to die for!

After making dessert I decided I need to make some real food for dinner, so Lasagna it was. HOMEMADE... I even made the tomatoe sauce, sadly not with my home grown tomatoes, but that because we had eaten them the day before with some fresh mozerella cheese and olive oil!!! The Lasagna turned out delicious, I even took a picture of it, because I was impressed at how much effort went into it!

Adam and I both leave town on Friday, but for once in the almost 8 years we've been together, we're going in seperate directions. Me to Texas, him to Japan! Alright, alright, his is a LITTLE more exciting, but oh well, you can't win them all!:)

Weekend activities!

We had a GREAT weekend. It actually started off on Friday because Adam didn't have class. We spent all day in the house, we didn't leave once. It rained all day so that made it even more perfect. We watched all of our DVR shows, and two movies. We did some cooking, and then went to bed to watch the shows we had recorded up there!:) Saturday we went out to Atlantic City with our friend David. I really enjoyed going with another person who was on the same level as me with gambling!:) Adam got to go and play poker ( which he won money doing ) so that's good, we actually had a GOOD day playing blackjack and didn't lose money!! When Adam was playing poker, David and I went into the horse racing room! I DO believe that is the BEST way to spend the day at a casino!!! We were betting $2 on each race, which ran about every 15 min, so in the mean time we were DRINKING!!! We came to the conclusion that the money we lost, we made up for in alcohol, so we were happy! We got back home around 3AM, and went to bed. I must have been so knocked out because I didn't even hear Adam get up to go make breakfast! Though I was delighted to go down stairs and find, homemade pancakes ( not Bisquick), bacon and eggs waiting to be eaten on the table!:) YUMMY! I have the best husband!
Monday, Janelle and Aubrey came over and we enjoyed some time of Aubrey scaring Bailey. She was crawling after her and climbing up on the couch to Chase her, it was sooo cute. We went to lunch, babies R Us, that store is dangerous, and to home goods. Here are some pictures from her playing with the dogs!

She took Bailey's ball, and well, she wasn't to sure about her after that!

You can't see it in this picture, but Bailey was laying on the couch, so Aubrey was going to get her!:)

Aubrey chewed on that bone in her hands more than either of the dogs ever have. Though last night, Bailey ONLY wanted to play with it! I guess it just need a little baby spit flavor!:)She was laughing at the dogs in the picture also!

Her mom had picked her up, because she was throwing things on the ground, but she was clapping at the dogs, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen!
