THE BIG ONE!

Yes, that's correct, Dylan turned one year old * tear*. He is such a big boy now! Let me see, so much has happened since then, I hope I don't get things confused! His twelfth month of life wasn't to exciting in the way of milestones. We started off the month with a sick baby. Just another fever and feeling yucky, he got over it and we had our go go go babe again!

He can now cruise really well! he will walk along the coffee table to get to anything we move out of his way. He loves to throw things on the floor! He is an expert at feeding himself, he is a pretty good eater and will eat just about anything, though you wouldn't know it by looking at his weight! This month we celebrated his first Thanksgiving, and I would have to say he really enjoyed it. I think stuffing was his favorite! He got to spend some time with his Great Grandma, Great aunt and Uncle and his cousin to some power, not sure, it's Adam's cousin! Because it was his first Thanksgiving, that also meant his first ROAD TRIP! We traveled to San Antonio, and lets just say, he was a car champ! It took us 7 hours to get there, apparently we weren't the only one's who thought Wednesday mid day was a great time to travel! He also had to sleep in his pack and play, in the SAME room as us, two things that he hadn't done since he was 8 weeks old! He adjusted GREAT!

He is just a giggily little man, everyone LOVES him in the stores and places that we go with him. I was telling Adam last night, the number of adult men who pay attention to him, and play with him in public blows my mind, women yes, but men, I would never have guessed!

Let me see, wow, this might be the worst month post yet! We've been soo busy, my brain is fried!

So some of his stats:
Weight : 17 lbs. 10 oz. ( not even on the curve!)
Length- 29.5 inchs ( 50th %)
Still wearing 9 month clothes, and will be for a while
Doesn't do much babbling, but is making lots of noises, and "talking" if you will, I guess!
LONG eyelashes. That's what everyone comments on it goes something like this..." WOW, look at his eyes, his eye lashes are amazing... Oh, but mom has those eyelashes too huh?" Me: Yup, and so does Daddy!"
You still will NOT hold your bottle, it's not that you can't, you just won't. I think it's because you know I will!

Now that Dylan is one, we are trying to get him off of formula, and bottles. With him not holding his bottle sippy's are probably a little harder than they should be. He kinda gets it, but doesn't know to tip it back. I've tried the straw ones, but he doesn't get it! Oh well!

I promise that I will do a separate birthday post! And maybe even do a Thanksgiving day post too, don't hold your breath though!

Happy Birthday! Suggestion on the sippy cups, we did juice boxes and would squses juice in her mouth from the straw that helped her to get the hang of the straw, then one day she just did it all on her own. I have been told that a starw is better for baby, bella will not drink from any other kind of sippy cup only ones with straws.
